We are going to show you how to make a projector headlights retrofitting for 1999 to 2004 Volkswagen Jetta. Let’s begin with the hood. But first, you need the drive ratchet, T25 socket, T30 socket, long drive extensions, Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, wire striper and wire crimper.
Open pop out the left and right corners of the front grille but before we can take it out completely make sure that the hood latch is going to be taken out.
With a flat tip screwdriver you could pop up the locking pin that holds it in place. To the sides of the wheel, there are four screws in each side. These four screws are indicated, once the screws in the wheel are taken out. You can work on some more screws on the top of the front bumper, they’re still indicated.
if you look right in front of the front bumper where the fog lights are supposed to be located, there are two screws one on each side. take out these screws so we continue further. When we pull out the sides of the front bumper, we could then detach the light bulb from the bumper light. For that the front bumper can be completely taken out.
We could take out the headlights however, there are four bolts to underneath and two on top that needs to be taken out first. Jetta have a very large harness for their light bulbs we could then pull these out and then take out the headlights completely.
